About the position

The General Manager (QSR) at Applegreen USA is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and profitability of a quick service restaurant located within a travel plaza. This role involves leading a dedicated team to achieve financial and performance targets while ensuring compliance with brand standards and food safety requirements. The General Manager fosters a positive work culture, recruits and develops staff, and maintains strong relationships with customers and business partners.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the quick service restaurant (QSR).
  • Lead a team to achieve or exceed targeted financial and performance metrics.
  • Maintain operating budgets, inventory controls, and food and labor costs.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and food safety requirements.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a strong team to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
  • Monitor and enforce cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Address customer needs and resolve issues in a professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with support partners such as Brand Partners and Human Resources.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience as a supervisor or unit-level manager in a quick service restaurant.
  • Ability to operate in and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates team management, delegation, and issue resolution skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • ServSafe Certification.
