About the position

This position has overall responsibility for a 100,000 to 200,000 square foot Regional Distribution Center (RDC), supporting floor stock deliveries to Company's Furniture Gallery stores and home deliveries to the end consumer. The RDC Manager manages an operating budget of $4 to $5 million and $2-$3 million in inventory investment. This position directs all receiving, stocking, inventory, and home delivery related activities in this operation. The RDC Manager acts as a business partner in support of the Company's Retail Furniture Gallery Stores and Independent Dealers who are serviced through the RDC. Assist other members of Management Team to achieve Division Plans, Initiatives and Goals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee RDC Operations for the entire Regional area and a staff of 20-30 people and 2-3 supervisors.
  • Oversee repair shop including monitoring, scheduling, costs, parts ordering, performance and customer satisfaction provided by repair services.
  • Direct and oversee customer delivery service including monitoring scheduling, costs, performance and customer satisfaction provided by delivery service.
  • Responsible for implementation and consistent compliance of policies and procedures for the RDC.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to warehouse operations; receiving, stocking picking, prepping, transfers, record keeping, inventory control and cycles, ticketing and bar coding, and warehouse personnel.
  • Direct and oversee the successful integration of new Furniture Galleries in the supported region for initial floor stocks as well as the Home Delivery program.
  • Deliver and / or meet KPI targets on Productivity, Cost Management, Delivery NPS scores and Building Metrics.
  • Establish Warehouse Operations and capabilities to allow the stores sales and merchandising teams to focus on sales growth.
  • Oversee relationship of 3rd party providers for home delivery.
  • Support computer system conversion and implement new warehouse procedures as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, with 6-8 years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of supervisory / leadership experience.
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Facility Layout experience.
  • Familiarity with GAAP.
  • Able to analyze Profit and Loss (P/L) statement.
  • Accomplished in accounting, financial analysis and planning.
  • Knowledgeable in managing Profit and Loss (P/L).
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Experience managing entry level to management-level employees.
  • Experienced in process analysis and implementing best practices.
  • Distribution Center operations experience.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and highly proficient in training and coaching.
  • 10% Travel Required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Business or Logistics.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred, but not required.
  • Previous experience managing a 100,000-200,000 sq. foot warehouse operations, consumer product background.
