About the position

The General Manager - Retail Store is responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations to ensure an exceptional consumer experience. This role involves leading a high-service-oriented team, executing sales strategies, and fostering community engagement while maintaining operational excellence and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of store operations to ensure a seamless consumer experience.
  • Cultivate an environment of genuine consumer connection by delivering exceptional, engaging, and personalized experiences.
  • Lead associate engagement by fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.
  • Develop, train, coach, and provide feedback to associates to ensure growth.
  • Analyze consumer trends and local market data to adjust product offerings and services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and community organizations.
  • Manage store expenses, labor costs, and operational budgets to ensure profitability.
  • Oversee inventory management, loss prevention, and stock accuracy.
  • Coordinate product training with sales and service teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of retail management/operations experience required.
  • 3+ years of managing a retail store team required.
  • Strong analytical skills to leverage data and customer insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in both retail and wholesale within the automotive aftermarket and/or outdoor industry.
  • Track record of driving innovation in retail marketing.
