About the position

The Assistant Shop Manager at Drybar Winter Park is responsible for supporting the Shop Manager in overseeing shop operations, enhancing client experience, and driving member retention. This role combines management responsibilities with hands-on hairstyling, focusing on delivering exceptional blowout services while ensuring smooth operational processes within the shop.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Shop Manager in overseeing shop operations and client experience.
  • Supervise shop staff during assigned shifts and ensure smooth operations.
  • Lead team members to enhance performance, client experience, and product sales.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, policies, and regulations.
  • Manage shop inventory and assist with stocking products and supplies.
  • Train new staff on company values and operational procedures.
  • Implement problem-solving strategies and maintain team morale.
  • Report on shop inventory and check retail supplies regularly.
  • Work closely with Human Resources on employee relations and performance management.
  • Achieve daily sales metrics and labor budget goals.

Requirements

  • Current and valid cosmetology license in the State of FL.
  • Experience in management, including roles as a sales manager or operations manager.
  • Excellent leadership skills to lead a team effectively.
  • Ability to perform blowouts in 45 minutes and provide exceptional hair styling services.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in project management and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with MindBody Software or Booker.
  • Background in sales management or general salon management.
