About the position

The General Manager will oversee the operations of Happy Holiday Lighting Company, managing field teams and job scheduling for both Christmas light installations and solar panel cleaning services. This role requires a proactive leader who can supervise and work alongside the team, ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction throughout the year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate Christmas light installations, ensuring all projects are completed efficiently and meet customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the solar panel cleaning services after the holiday period, overseeing daily tasks and crew schedules.
  • Train and mentor field staff, maintaining safety and productivity standards.
  • Establish and refine on-site procedures to maximize crew performance.
  • Manage the inventory of tools and materials to ensure proper job preparedness.
  • Utilize GPS tracking (Linxup) to optimize routes and avoid unnecessary downtime.
  • Handle customer inquiries and service issues, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
  • Assist with key decisions in the field and escalate larger issues to upper management as needed.
  • Work closely with company leadership to align with the organization's objectives.

Requirements

  • Experience in a management or leadership role, preferably within service industries.
  • Capable of managing multiple teams and projects concurrently.
  • Hands-on leadership style with a strong focus on organization and problem-solving.
  • Willingness to work in various outdoor environments.
  • Background in solar panel cleaning, holiday lighting, or related industries is an advantage.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between sites.
