About the position

The General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner serves as the primary strategic business leader responsible for all aspects of the hotel's operations. This includes ensuring guest and employee satisfaction, overseeing human resources, managing financial performance, and driving sales and revenue generation. The role emphasizes the implementation of brand service strategies to meet guest expectations while increasing profitability and market share. The General Manager also plays a crucial role in community engagement and building strong relationships with local stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring guest and employee satisfaction.
  • Oversee financial performance and drive revenue generation strategies.
  • Implement and verify adherence to The Ritz-Carlton brand service strategy.
  • Guide the professional development of the property leadership team.
  • Engage with the local community and build relationships with local officials and businesses.
  • Develop and execute business plans to maximize customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to create revenue-generating strategies.
  • Foster a high-performance culture through talent management and organizational capability.
  • Analyze business data to inform strategic decisions and improve performance.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and brand standards.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 8 years of relevant experience; or a 4-year degree with 6 years of experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in a senior management position at a Four Star/Four Diamond hotel is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Demonstrated progressive career growth in the property industry.
