About the position

The General Manager/US Site Head at BAP Pharma is responsible for overseeing the operational performance of the US site, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and driving business development efforts. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to manage a diverse team, and a focus on strategic planning and execution to meet company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day to day operational performance of BAP Pharma - US Site.
  • Ensure overall compliance with GMP/GDP for all procedures associated with sourcing of separators, secondary packaging, labelling and distribution.
  • Drive performance and country delivery against agreed value and new customer targets.
  • Build and implement tactical and operational strategies in line with company goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and control the US Company's performance and finances in accordance with approved budgets.
  • Review and improve organizational effectiveness, ensuring a high performing, highly engaged and motivated team.
  • Ensure that all staff are adequately trained to perform their responsibilities and operational tasks in an ethical and responsible manner.
  • Establish that the Company meets all its legal requirements, including those relating to Occupational Health and Safety in accordance with US law.
  • Manage acquisition, maintenance and efficient utilization of the Company's physical assets.
  • Monitor and control the Company's Quality Management System in collaboration with Head of Quality.
  • Represent the Company at industry associations and outside committees.
  • Liaise with Accountants and have meetings to ensure finances are in order; liaise with US Bank to ensure cash flow is in order; and liaise with US Lawyer as/when required.
  • Manage US Business Development team to continually update, improve and implement a sustainable BD plan, integrated with global goals and objectives.
  • Oversee and champion US business performance ensuring margins are improved and pricing is maximized.
  • Establish pricing policies, estimate job costs and set contract prices.
  • Cultivate and maintain good relations with US Pharma companies.
  • Act as oversight and monitor the plan and schedule work so that clients' expected delivery times are met.

Requirements

  • University degree or college diploma.
  • Significant demonstrable experience in the field of secondary packaging and labelling for clinical trials.
  • Proven track record leading and managing people, and experience with the development of talent during recruitment, selection and employment.
  • Deep experience in developing and delivering a strategic plan of closing multi-million dollar deals and management of a budget for a business division.
  • Experience in managing a Profit and Loss (P&L) statement and growth.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire team members and contractors from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrate the ability to influence and persuade groups of people and individuals' mind-sets and behaviors without authority.
  • Elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including MD, clients, and other departments.
  • Be adaptable and agile in thinking, responding to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
  • Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
