About the position

The General Manager at Valle, a Michelin Star restaurant, is responsible for overseeing the Food & Beverage outlet to ensure optimal performance, exceptional guest service, and maximum profitability. This role involves training and motivating staff, managing budgets, and collaborating closely with the Executive Chef and other hotel departments to enhance revenue and maintain high standards of service.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Food & Beverage outlet to ensure optimum performance and exceptional guest service.
  • Train and motivate staff to exceed performance goals.
  • Support and manage Valle while collaborating with the Executive Chef and hotel departments.
  • Ensure effective hiring, training, development, and promotion of staff.
  • Develop and implement creative strategies for revenue enhancement and cost containment.
  • Prepare forecasts and reports and assist in the development of the food & beverage budget.
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings including ongoing training and safety classes.
  • Take initiative to develop and execute new promotions and events.
  • Work with culinary to develop new food menus responsive to the local market.
  • Complete weekly payroll for outlet employees.

Requirements

  • Previous F&B Leadership experience in a fine dining setting is required.
  • Basic wine knowledge is necessary.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Experience in managing restaurant operations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in developing marketing plans and objectives.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage cost management.
