About the position

The General Manager at McDonald's is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. In this role, the General Manager leads a team of Department Managers, each responsible for specific areas within the restaurant. By fostering a collaborative environment and improving departmental performance, the General Manager contributes to the overall success of the restaurant. Additionally, the General Manager may be involved in hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers, ensuring that the restaurant has a capable team to lead into the future. Ideal candidates for this position should have prior experience as a General Manager in high-volume locations, preferably within the quick service restaurant industry. A background in hospitality or retail is also beneficial. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to qualify for a managerial position in corporate-owned and operated restaurants. Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the restaurant to ensure profitability.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
