About the position

The General Manager at Wingstop is responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership for the restaurant, ensuring operational excellence and driving sales and profit growth. This role involves hiring, training, and developing team members while fostering a positive work culture that aligns with Wingstop's mission to Serve the World Flavor. The General Manager must maintain a safe environment for both team members and guests, manage financial performance, and uphold operational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for staffing the restaurant timely and efficiently with carefully selected team members.
  • Ensure the restaurant environment is safe for both team members and guests.
  • Oversee the orientation and onboarding process for new hires.
  • Write and implement performance plans for shift leaders and team members.
  • Create team member schedules to ensure proper staffing levels based on expected sales volumes.
  • Audit all facets of operations and develop solutions for improvements.
  • Understand budget and cost trends that impact operations and create a business plan.
  • Perform financial analysis and control cash, property, product, and equipment.
  • Maintain operational standards and communicate maintenance issues to the Facilities Department.
  • Use company tools to coach, mentor, and develop team members for high performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required, some College preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Minimum of 5 plus years of previous food service, retail, or restaurant supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in analyzing profit and loss statements and overall financial performance of the restaurant.
  • Demonstrated ability in recruiting and selecting team members.
  • Knowledge of Labor Laws.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage, train, develop, and motivate a diverse crew.

Nice-to-haves

  • Some college education preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
