About the position

The General Manager at The Inn at Ohio Northern University is responsible for maximizing revenue, minimizing expenses, and leading the team to exceed guest and associate expectations. This role involves overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, including property performance, sales and marketing strategies, profitability, and human resources activities. The General Manager will implement property-wide strategies aimed at enhancing guest satisfaction and ensuring a strong return on investment.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize revenue and minimize expenses for the hotel.
  • Lead the team to exceed guest and associate expectations.
  • Oversee all aspects of hotel operations including performance, sales, and marketing.
  • Implement property-wide strategies to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Measure and analyze property performance using financial and non-financial data.
  • Conduct day-to-day human resource transactions to support property needs.
  • Ensure ongoing development of managers through coaching and assignments.
  • Recruit and hire qualified associates.
  • Keep stakeholders updated on property performance.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 4 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or management operations (2 years with a Bachelor's degree).
  • Experience in implementing payroll and inventory cost controls.
  • Previous Hotel General Manager experience required.
  • Previous Food & Beverage experience required.
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check.
