About the position

The General Manager is responsible for executing the store plan to achieve established standards, sales, local marketing programs, and profits. This role focuses on staffing, personnel training, and maintaining the store to maximize customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Meets budgeted sales targets.
  • Sets controllable cost targets and meets them.
  • Develops and executes a local store marketing plan in response to market conditions.
  • Responds to competitor activities aimed at diverting store business.
  • Develops and executes plans to improve sales and profits.
  • Sets store budget goals monthly and meets them.
  • Communicates anticipated variances to the District Manager.
  • Trains store personnel to execute procedures for preparation and serving of quality products.
  • Resolves customer complaints within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Trains store personnel to maintain store cleanliness during shifts.
  • Writes and manages a development plan for each manager based on position descriptions.
  • Conducts management performance reviews on a timely basis.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years management/operations experience in the restaurant industry.
  • Must be able to perform all restaurant operations positions/functions.
  • College degree or equivalent experience in operations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in restaurant operations.
  • Knowledge of Wendy's operating systems and procedures.
