About the position

The General Manager will oversee the commercial flooring operations of a branch, ensuring profitable growth and strategic direction. This role involves managing all aspects of branch operations, including sales, project management, and customer service, while developing strong relationships with key customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business plans to achieve sales and profitability targets
• Manage all aspects of the branch operations, including sales, project management, estimating, and customer service
• Oversee and manage the performance of all sales and operational staff
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in commercial flooring sales and/or branch management
• Strong track record of success in construction sales and project management
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Experience in estimating and managing project budgets
