About the position

The General Manager is responsible for the profitable operation of a Firehouse Subs® restaurant, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies. This role involves leading the restaurant team to deliver superior guest service while maintaining a cheerful and fun work environment. The General Manager is accountable for staffing, training, and development of the team, as well as implementing operational strategies to achieve profitability and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations including health and safety standards.
  • Adhere to and enforce Firehouse Subs® Policies and Procedures.
  • Provide leadership to the restaurant team to meet standards of guest service, quality, and cleanliness.
  • Ensure profitability by managing food costs, labor, and sales growth within established guidelines.
  • Coordinate and implement operations game plans and company initiatives.
  • Accountable for staffing the restaurant with qualified personnel and ensuring proper training and development.
  • Participate in Local Restaurant Marketing and community affairs to enhance sales and public relations.
  • Represent Firehouse Subs® professionally and positively at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with the GM/Owner regarding business-impacting issues.
  • Maintain restaurant equipment and report any issues to the Owner.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Owner.

Requirements

  • Experience in restaurant management is required.
  • Ability to work on feet for up to 13 hours at a time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
