About the position

As a General Manager at Precision Garage Door Service, you will oversee the daily operations of the business, ensuring that systems, training, and personnel are effectively managed. This role involves guiding employees in providing excellent customer service, managing staff performance, and implementing operational procedures. You will be responsible for creating a culture of accountability and high-quality work while also having the autonomy to make decisions that impact the team's success.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business.
• Create systems and implement procedures for operational efficiency.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all residential customers.
• Develop leads for residential work through networking and events.
• Manage and resolve customer complaints and technician issues.
• Handle staffing decisions including interviewing, hiring, and training.
• Review performance of Door Salesmen, Installers, and Technicians.
• Lead the team by fostering a culture of responsiveness and integrity.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and maintain company vehicles.
• Recap KPI metrics at weekly team meetings and address performance issues.
• Train technicians on the sales process and oversee inventory management.
• Optimize technician and installer schedules for performance.
• Review open invoices and sales orders daily to ensure deadlines are met.

Requirements

• Must have mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
• Management experience is required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
• Must be able to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, both inside and outside.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with customers.
• Proficient in using computers and tablets.
