About the position

As the General Manager at Via, you will oversee the daily operations of an innovative intermodal transit service in Indianapolis. This role requires a dynamic leader who can navigate a fast-paced tech environment while managing a team and building relationships with various stakeholders. You will be responsible for operational management, team development, and ensuring compliance with regulations, all while striving to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage the on-site daily operations of Via's service in Indianapolis.
• Prioritize operational issues and provide creative solutions for scheduling a round-the-clock team.
• Manage and mentor the on-site team of dispatchers and shift managers.
• Develop relationships with driver partners, customers, community leaders, and local organizations.
• Liaise closely with Via senior management and external partners.
• Develop clear metrics for the team and provide visibility into results against KPIs on a weekly basis.
• Prepare reports and analyze data to improve operational processes and maximize efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, local, and company policies and regulations.
• Lead, coach, and develop an engaged team of drivers, fostering a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience as an operations manager.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with a high level of responsibility.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to find the right tone in various situations.
• Commitment to providing a world-class customer service experience.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on action and autonomy.
• Proven leadership experience with a track record of developing and motivating teams.
• Flexibility and adaptability to rapidly changing situations.
• Experience managing multiple tasks simultaneously and effective delegation.
