About the position

We are looking for an experienced General Manager for our Element Hotel in Lenox, MA, scheduled to open in the spring/summer of 2025. The General Manager must manage the operations of the hotel to maximize the profitable growth of the business and ensure service and product quality to maintain and enhance the integrity of the hotel brand. A BS/BA in hotel management or business is preferred. CHM certification preferred. Previous general manager experience required. Must have a broad understanding and knowledge of hotel marketing, front desk operations, room sales and marketing, housekeeping, and maintenance. Computer skills, training skills, and financial skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the operations of the hotel to maximize profitable growth.
  • Ensure service and product quality to maintain and enhance the hotel brand.
  • Observe the operation of the hotel to ensure revenues and profits are maximized, consistent with budgets and business plans.
  • Anticipate and plan for market shifts, developing and monitoring strategic marketing prospects.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor annual business and marketing plans.
  • Participate in appropriate national marketing efforts.
  • Maximize food and beverage revenues through effective management of outlets.
  • Maintain visibility with guests and key community contacts to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure a cross-trained and motivated employee workforce capable of meeting staffing needs.
  • Develop and support employee-oriented programs to ensure a strong employee culture.
  • Ensure product quality standards are met in all areas of the hotel outlets.
  • Maintain the assets of the hotel and brand name through annual business and capital plans.
  • Implement broad-based marketing and yield management efforts to diversify revenue sources.
  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in hotel management or business preferred.
  • CHM certification preferred.
  • Previous general manager experience required.
