About the position

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the restaurant, ensuring consistency and quality in service and food. This role involves leading the management teams, implementing business strategies for growth and profitability, and maintaining high standards in guest service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manages restaurant operations by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies.
  • Implements programs to ensure attainment of business plan for growth and profit.
  • Provides direction and structure for Management Team and hourly Team Members.
  • Coaches and develops FOH and BOH teams to work in unison for the benefit of the Guest.
  • Implements improved processes and management methods to generate higher ROI and workflow optimization.
  • Identifies operational issues and gives timely feedback to the team to impact operational opportunities.
  • Validates and teaches all brand systems to Team Members to achieve Company goals.
  • Sets operational goals and follow-up plans for subordinate Managers.
  • Directs and holds the Managers accountable for these goals.
  • Achieves budgeted goals for each accounting period, meeting EBITDA goals.
  • Ensures Guests consistently receive high quality food and service in accordance with brand standards.
  • Enforces sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
  • Develops, implements, and reviews Local Store Marketing to increase Guest counts.
  • Reviews Shopper Report and InMoment trends and develops targeted corrective action steps with the Management team to impact all deficiencies.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Bachelor's degree, or work history experience equivalent.
  • Must have TABC and Food Handler certifications.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance.
  • Must have strong P&L, budget, and sales forecasting experience.
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to cope with pressure, multiple deadlines, and working under pressure.
  • Ability to develop high-performing, cohesive teams.
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with fellow Team Members.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Possess the ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships with all Team Members.
