About the position

The General Manager at The Goat is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar and restaurant, enhancing performance, leading sales efforts, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role involves managing financial performance, recruiting and training staff, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. The General Manager plays a crucial role in creating memorable experiences for customers while adhering to operational regulations and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of The Goat bar and restaurant.
  • Lead sales efforts and control cost of goods.
  • Achieve set performance targets and develop action plans.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing team.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to achieve sales targets.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering a safe and positive experience.
  • Ensure compliance with state liquor laws and health regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits for quality and safety standards.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Home team to ensure resident satisfaction.

Requirements

  • At least three (3) years of experience in a leadership role in the restaurant, bartending, or hospitality industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a similar area of focus preferred.
  • ServSafe certification from a nationally recognized organization required.
  • TABC Certification where applicable.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
