About the position

The General Manager at Sbarro is responsible for achieving restaurant objectives by overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local laws. This role requires effective communication and leadership to drive sales and profits while maintaining high standards of food safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assign, direct, and follow up on activities of subordinate employees including managers and team members.
• Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, federal, state and local laws, and Company business standards.
• Train, monitor, and reinforce food safety procedures to subordinate managers and team members.
• Maintain safe working conditions by following and enforcing all Company safety, security, and maintenance policies and procedures.
• Hire, develop, evaluate, coach, and counsel Managers and Team Members in accordance with Company Human Resources policies and procedures.
• Manage entire store operations including systems usage, recipe adherence, payroll, and guest interactions.
• Responsible for profit and loss management through cash control, maintaining inventory, and reviewing financial reports.
• Generate Manager and Team Member schedules ensuring appropriate coverage to drive sales and profits.
• Engage in local restaurant marketing efforts.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of restaurant or supervisory experience preferred.
• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a senior level restaurant position.
• Certification with appropriate state or local health department.
• Possession of appropriate license and permit to sell alcoholic beverages (where applicable).
