About the position

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all restaurant activities, ensuring that operations align with the business plan, and maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction. This role involves managing staff performance, training, and development, as well as financial management and compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive guest service experience by modeling and creating an environment focused on guest satisfaction.
• Respond quickly to guest concerns and feedback.
• Hire and train high-quality staff to maintain consistent guest satisfaction.
• Evaluate employee performance and provide regular feedback.
• Develop and execute the restaurant's business plan, including fiscal responsibilities and local marketing strategies.
• Utilize labor effectively to meet budgetary goals.
• Execute company-wide marketing programs and uphold food safety standards.
• Communicate performance expectations clearly and recognize good performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of management experience, preferably in a restaurant setting.
• Basic knowledge of computers and financial/analytical aptitude including planning, budgeting, and P&L management.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Team building and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
