About the position

The General Manager at Carl's Jr. is responsible for overseeing all restaurant activities, ensuring that operations align with the business plan and that guest satisfaction is prioritized. This role involves managing staff performance, training, and development, as well as maximizing financial performance and adhering to legal and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure total guest satisfaction by providing quality products and service.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate employees to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Utilize labor effectively to meet budgetary goals while ensuring quality service and cleanliness.
  • Continuously improve employee skills and morale through training and development programs.
  • Develop and execute the restaurant's business plan, focusing on financial performance and local marketing strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all labor laws and company policies regarding personnel practices.
  • Model and promote Carl's Jr. shared values and maintain a positive work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of management experience, preferably in the restaurant industry.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and manage a standard 47.5 hour work week.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in full-service or fast food restaurant management.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and financial/analytical aptitude.
