About the position

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a retail store, kitchen, and delivery services. This role includes managing personnel, scheduling, product procurement, pricing, and inventory management. The General Manager will also lead the VIP Customer Program to ensure a superior guest experience and promote a positive work environment for team members. Additionally, the position involves working closely with Human Resources for staffing needs and collaborating with digital delivery platforms to drive sales.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the store, kitchen, and delivery services.
  • Manage and schedule employees, ensuring appropriate staffing levels.
  • Supervise inventory management and work with vendors for product procurement.
  • Monitor financials and accounts payable in collaboration with the bookkeeper.
  • Produce weekly financial and operational reports for review with the owner.
  • Ensure compliance with company initiatives and drive sales through digital delivery platforms.
  • Promote a positive work environment and maintain employee morale.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail management.
  • At least 2 years of supervising experience managing 10 or more employees.
  • Valid California Driver's License is required.
  • Strong decision-making and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of alcohol management is a plus.
  • Familiarity with retail grocery management and inventory processes.
