About the position

As the General Manager at Reynolds Pet Resort, you will lead a dedicated team in providing exceptional care for pets while ensuring smooth daily operations. This role combines hands-on management with administrative responsibilities, focusing on staff development, community engagement, and collaboration across departments to drive business success.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily activities of the resort and manage staff.
  • Deliver top-notch customer service and pamper pets.
  • Balance administrative tasks with active involvement in front desk, daycare, and kennel operations.
  • Monitor staff performance and support team members' growth and development.
  • Collaborate with various departments to achieve shared objectives and drive business success.
  • Prepare daily revenue reports and handle end-of-day procedures.
  • Safeguard pet guests and manage inventory.
  • Oversee team shifts and ensure budget adherence while keeping operations running smoothly.
  • Promote Village Pet Care and represent the brand within the community.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as needed to maintain seamless operations.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of management experience with strong leadership skills.
  • Proven track record in overseeing P&L, project management, and departmental operations.
  • Strong commitment to guest service and their family members.
  • Tech-savvy with knowledge of computers, software, and digital tools.
  • Skilled in managing people, recruiting, retention, and coaching.
  • Previous experience with animals in a professional setting is required.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, pet-friendly environment.
  • Effective organizational strategies to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Innovative thinker with a drive to improve and grow the resort.
  • Physical stamina to lift up to 40 pounds and remain active throughout the shift.
