About the position

The General Manager at Massage Envy is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a clinic, ensuring high standards of customer service, sales performance, and staff management. This role emphasizes the importance of promoting wellness services and maintaining the brand's core values while leading a team to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the clinic including sales, customer service, and staffing.
  • Work a minimum of 25 hours per week at the front desk, performing all duties of the Front Desk Sales Associate (FDSA).
  • Model company culture and maintain a professional image while fostering a positive environment for staff and guests.
  • Conduct coaching and development sessions with staff to enhance performance.
  • Keep Area and District Managers informed of operational issues and opportunities.
  • Ensure the clinic meets monthly and annual performance goals through regular strategy meetings with staff.
  • Hold staff accountable for service standards and sales goals.
  • Conduct daily huddles and provide real-time coaching as needed.
  • Partner with Area Manager on Performance Improvement Plans for underperforming staff.
  • Ensure high levels of member and guest satisfaction through exceptional service and conflict resolution.
  • Hire, onboard, and train new staff in collaboration with the Area Manager.
  • Maintain operational excellence by ensuring proper supplies and equipment are available.
  • Ensure compliance with franchise agreements and local regulations.
  • Promote employee safety and maintain the physical and financial security of the clinic.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience or training.
  • Proficient in computer operations including email, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions and correspondence.
  • Strong mathematical skills for basic calculations and data interpretation.
