About the position

The position involves managing the day-to-day client service operations within an airline or airport environment, focusing on financial, customer service, and operational performance. The role requires oversight of safety management systems, training personnel, and ensuring compliance with FAA/TSA regulations while maintaining high standards of service and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the station's Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Develop and communicate the station safety plan.
  • Responsible for Service Level Agreements (SLA's) related to station operational performance.
  • Ensure implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Implement safety plan for the station.
  • Maintain Quality Assurance oversight for operational issues relating to performance and safety, providing suitable corrective and/or preventative actions where necessary.
  • Actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Train/retrain all personnel on airline/airport procedures, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Act as liaison among local airport/airline managers, FAA representatives, and the company.
  • Monitor the behavior and performance of all employees, counseling and reporting those whose performance falls below company standards.
  • Responsible for all FAA and company required reports.
  • Remain constantly aware of the safety needs of airport locations.
  • Maintain good employee relations at airport sites and handle employee problems efficiently.
  • Keep supervisor informed of needs and problems in assigned areas, maintain cleanliness of the work area, and report maintenance needs.
  • Project a positive image and respond to inquiries from airlines, staff, and the public courteously.
  • Utilize appropriate communications channels and maintain records, reports, and files as required.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures and participate in achieving company objectives.
  • Utilize company equipment, supplies, and resources in a conscientious, cost-effective manner.
  • Perform quality assurance service audits as directed to conform to client specifications and/or procedures, and analyze audit results.
  • Comply with all safety requirements, including using trained equipment, reporting unsafe conditions, and attending required safety training.
  • Ensure employees follow all safety requirements through conducting safety briefings and observations, and ensuring thorough accident investigations are conducted following an injury.
  • Ensure proper resources are utilized to provide PPE, safe equipment, and a safe working environment for employees.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience of 5 or more years in management.
  • Previous airline/airport experience required.
  • Some supervisory/management experience necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have reliable telephone and transportation.
