About the position

The General Manager at Green Thumb is responsible for leading and managing a diverse team to drive results and deliver exceptional consumer experiences in the cannabis industry. This role encompasses overseeing all operations related to customer journey, inventory management, safety compliance, and team member engagement. The General Manager acts as an ambassador for social change within the community, ensuring that the team aligns with the company's mission and values while fostering a culture of development and performance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direction, oversight, and execution of all operations.
• Ensure compliance with security, inventory, and local/state regulations.
• Drive revenue and profit through effective execution of programs and promotions.
• Oversee quality product inventory and financial records.
• Conduct monthly audits and identify operational inefficiencies.
• Coach Leaders and Team Members to deliver positive customer experiences.
• Manage scheduling of 'Leader on Duty' presence in the store.
• Serve as a liaison to the local community and support outreach events.
• Build and retain a high-performing team through effective onboarding and training.
• Monitor staffing needs and ensure compliance with scheduling practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or comparable business experience.
• At least five years in a supervisory or management role in a retail setting.
• Cannabis experience preferred.
• Inventory control experience is required.
• Ability to work varying shifts including mornings, days, nights, and weekends.
• Must possess a valid driver's license or state ID.
• Must be compliant with all legal and company regulations.
