About the position

The General Manager will lead a customer-facing retail service business, focusing on enhancing customer satisfaction and team performance. This bilingual role requires strong leadership skills to manage daily operations, drive productivity, and ensure profitability while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.
  • Participate in the screening and selection process for staffing needs.
  • Ensure training procedures and evaluations are adhered to, while identifying and developing top talent.
  • Foster a safe, positive, and fair work environment by driving accountability.
  • Develop employee schedules while adhering to budgeted payroll hours.
  • Ensure payroll is accurate and timely.
  • Maintain high levels of operational equipment used by customers.
  • Focus on store cleanliness and the availability of ancillary items.
  • Enforce safe practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Manage emergency situations such as fires, floods, and severe weather.
  • Ensure security alarms and surveillance equipment are operational.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels and conduct accurate inventory counts.
  • Ensure good visual presentation of products.
  • Report equipment and building maintenance issues accurately.
  • Conduct frequent audits of preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Train employees in processing retail sales and upselling customers.
  • Keep associated costs low and report all information accurately.
  • Respond quickly to essential equipment issues and failures.
  • Participate in and execute promotional programs accurately.
  • Ensure accurate and timely retail sales information is submitted weekly.
  • Execute initiatives to improve store financial performance.

Requirements

  • Bilingual (Fluent in both English and Spanish) required.
  • 2 or more years of experience in retail sales.
  • At least 2 years of experience leading a team.
  • Willingness to submit to drug and alcohol screenings when requested.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8+ hours at a time for a shift.
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds.
  • Professional communication with customers and associates.
  • Ability to resolve customer issues/complaints in a timely manner.
  • Ability to train all store associates in their assigned tasks.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
