About the position

As a General Manager (GM) at Sky Zone, you will oversee all park operations, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and exceptional guest experiences. Reporting to the District Manager, you will lead a team, drive membership sales, manage park revenue, and create a positive work environment while upholding Sky Zone standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily park operations under the direction of the District Manager.
  • Be a hands-on leader and role model, supporting the team by executing any park position as needed.
  • Develop Assistant General Managers and Team Leads into effective leaders and operation experts.
  • Create a positive park culture by recognizing team accomplishments and understanding team motivations.
  • Manage all phases of employment including hiring, training, and discipline of team members.
  • Serve as a liaison through consistent communication across all departments and corporate team.
  • Enhance customer experiences by being proactive and responsive to their needs.
  • Resolve customer service issues effectively and document necessary follow-ups.
  • Manage park operations and expenses according to Profit & Loss (P&L) statements.
  • Drive achievement of park revenue goals in membership sales, birthday parties, and special events.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on park promotions and marketing strategies.
  • Train employees on their contributions to park revenue goals.
  • Develop Front Desk Agents in effective sales strategies.
  • Ensure understanding of key performance metrics (KPI's) among team members.
  • Cultivate positive relationships within the local community.
  • Encourage creativity and support managers in executing new ideas.
  • Evaluate departmental efficiency and implement necessary processes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety precautions and training for all team members.
  • Monitor park attractions and equipment for safety and operational readiness.
  • Adjust staffing levels to meet safety demands.
  • Complete inventory reports for various park operations.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older and have completed high school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a high customer volume industry.
  • At least 2 years of sales experience, preferably in membership sales.
  • Ability to leverage P&L reports to set and manage business revenue goals.
  • Demonstrated experience in hitting or exceeding company KPIs.
  • Basic proficiency in technology such as MS Office Suite, Teams, and POS systems.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Results-driven, reliable, detail-oriented, and organized.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
