About the position

The General Manager at Culver's is responsible for leading the management team to ensure operational and financial success while providing exceptional guest experiences. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The General Manager will also focus on increasing sales and profitability, maintaining inventory, and fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the management team to increase business sales and net profit to meet the annual budget.
  • Ensure the preparation and review of daily summary reports against cash register system totals for accuracy.
  • Prepare weekly operations reports based on daily summaries.
  • Complete and follow up on weekly schedules and daily deployment based on budget forecasts.
  • Maintain controllable costs based on system averages and manage product inventory according to business needs.
  • Ensure completion and documentation of food temperatures and product rotation as per safety standards.
  • Train and demonstrate food safety practices to team members.
  • Maintain product quality and portion control to meet system standards.
  • Support risk management in implementing safety standards for team and guest safety.
  • Supervise hiring and orientation of all team members and ongoing training and development.
  • Evaluate management performance annually and supervise bi-annual team member performance appraisals.
  • Conduct weekly management meetings to keep managers informed on system changes and developments.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and State labor laws and enforce policies consistently for all team members.
  • Maintain timely and effective communication among team members regarding restaurant information.
  • Ensure guests receive quality products within specified service times.
  • Supervise maintenance and cleaning of equipment and restaurant grounds.
  • Develop community relationships for local marketing events.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree in hotel and restaurant management preferred.
  • Five years of experience in a supervisory position.
  • Certified in a national food safety program.
  • Certified in-store trainer in all areas.
