About the position

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations and staff of a Wendy's restaurant, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures while achieving restaurant objectives. This role emphasizes guest satisfaction, ethical business practices, and the development of team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operations and staff of the restaurant, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Develop subordinates to maximize their contributions and future promotion opportunities.
• Execute proper training and development through established systems and practices.
• Ensure achievement of proper staffing levels and retention of employees.
• Conduct performance feedback and appraisals for management and crew.
• Monitor and reinforce food safety procedures to management and crew members.
• Maximize restaurant sales goals versus budget and prior year, participating in marketing programs.
• Manage food, labor, and paper costs to enhance profits.
• Evaluate restaurant performance and implement corrective actions as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years line operations experience in the restaurant industry or equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to learn and apply standard operating procedures and HR policies.
• Demonstrated experience in supervisory practices and interviewing high-performing candidates.
• Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local employment laws.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in P&L analysis and corrective measures.
• Ability to achieve Serve Safe Certification.
