About the position

The General Manager at Massage Envy is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a clinic, ensuring high standards of customer service, staff management, and operational excellence. This role involves promoting wellness services, maintaining compliance with regulations, and achieving performance goals while embodying the company's core values.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the clinic including sales, customer service, and staffing.
  • Work a minimum of 25 hours per week at the front desk, performing all duties of the Front Desk Sales Associate (FDSA).
  • Model company culture and maintain a professional image and positive environment for staff and guests.
  • Conduct coaching and development sessions with staff to enhance performance.
  • Keep Area Manager and District Manager informed of operational issues and opportunities.
  • Ensure the clinic meets monthly and annual performance goals.
  • Conduct regular sales and service strategy meetings with staff.
  • Hold staff accountable for service standards and sales goals.
  • Conduct daily huddles and provide real-time coaching as needed.
  • Partner with Area Manager to administer Performance Improvement Plans as necessary.
  • Ensure high levels of member and guest satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Resolve member and guest service disputes positively.
  • Hire, onboard, and train new clinic staff in collaboration with the Area Manager.
  • Maintain appropriate training programs for staff development.
  • Ensure clinic has necessary supplies, equipment, and inventory for operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and address maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with franchise agreements and local regulations.
  • Maintain security and internal controls to protect clinic assets.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience or training.
  • Proficient in computer operations including email, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and group situations.
  • Mathematical skills to perform basic calculations and interpret data.
