About the position

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring a positive guest experience, and managing staff performance. This role involves hiring, training, and empowering employees to deliver exceptional service while maintaining financial accountability and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Model and create an environment focused on guest satisfaction.
  • Respond positively and quickly to guest concerns.
  • Hire high-quality staff to ensure consistent guest satisfaction.
  • Train and empower employees to deliver total guest satisfaction.
  • Evaluate employee performance in maintaining guest satisfaction levels.
  • Continuously improve employee skills, knowledge, and morale.
  • Provide regular performance feedback to employees.
  • Develop and execute the restaurant's business plan, including fiscal responsibilities and local marketing.
  • Utilize labor effectively to meet budgetary goals.
  • Ensure financial results are achieved and maintained.
  • Execute company-wide marketing programs.
  • Enforce compliance with labor laws and food safety regulations.
  • Promote company values and maintain a respectful workplace.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 - 5 years of management experience, preferably in a restaurant setting.
  • Basic knowledge of computers.
  • Financial and analytical aptitude, including planning, budgeting, and P&L management.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Team building and problem-solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
