About the position

The General Manager at Landmark Theatres will oversee the operations of the theatre, ensuring a high-quality movie-going experience while managing staff and resources effectively. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a passion for film and a commitment to exceptional customer service. The General Manager will be responsible for staff management, training, budgeting, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the theatre and bar, including cash management and inventory.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment by maintaining the facility and addressing repair and maintenance issues.
• Operate and maintain projection and sound equipment.
• Build a strong team through recruiting and retaining top performers.
• Prevent employee relation issues by consistently executing human resources practices; ensure guidelines and processes are adhered to.
• Ensure compliance with employment law, safety regulations, and uphold all company policies and procedures.
• Create a positive movie-going experience through guest engagement and interactions.

Requirements

• 2+ years' experience in a leadership position.
• 1+ year experience in customer service (e.g., retail, restaurant, hospitality, etc.).
• Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
• Proven track record in management of COGS and Labor.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to coach, train, and motivate employees.
• Must be available during peak business hours (Nights, Weekend, and Holidays).
