This is done primarily by adhering to the store budgets, staffing, personnel training, and maintaining the store such that customer satisfaction is maximized. ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Sales and Profits Builds sales by promoting customer satisfaction. Manages cost by monitoring labor production and procedures execution. Meets controllable cost targets. Communicates to District Manager, any problems related to sales and profit. 2. Operating Budget Meets monthly budget goals. Communicates anticipated variances to District Manager. Develops appropriate plans to resolve unfavorable trends in controllables, sales and profit. 3. Staffing Ensures crew staffing to meet customer needs on all shifts. Sources and hires crew in advance of needs. Maintains process for handling applications. 4. Quality Trains all store personnel in handling sub-standard products. Talks with customers to determine product and service quality. 5. Service Trains store personnel to respond promptly to customer needs. Trains store personnel in customer courtesy. Trains store personnel to solicit feedback to determine customer satisfaction. 6. Cleanliness Develops store-cleaning plan. Trains store personnel to maintain store cleanliness during all shifts. Executes cleaning plan through delegation to assistant manager and crew. 7. Training Trains store personnel to use all POS equipment to include money order, identi-scan, and credit card devices. Trains store personnel to adhere to all company policies and procedures. Orients new personnel to store. Trains store personnel in alcohol and tobacco management. Recommends to District Manager for promotion those performing to high standards. 8. Controls Meets or exceeds 85% level on Store Inspections. Maintains 1.25% or less in inventory shrink. Manages labor cost and food cost (if applicable). Manages store inventory levels to ensure product/item availability. Set store priorities, incorporating store and company objectives. Identifies, evaluates and responds appropriately to profit efficiency problems. Analyzes monthly P&L; reviews with assistant manager. 9. Policies and Procedures Follows procedures as outlined in any Corner Pantry operations manuals. Maintains safe working conditions in the store as outlined in company policies and procedures. Follows company policy for cash control and security. Reports accidents promptly and accurately to District Manager. Follows procedures for resolving operational problems indicated by DHEC. Manages employee time cards in accordance with policies. Complies with EEOC and labor law requirements. Reports violations of company policies to District Manager. 10. Administration Insures all invoices are retailed and posted timely and accurately. Submits all paperwork requirements on a timely basis. 11. Maintenance Follows procedures for reporting maintenance problems; tracks progress to completion. 12. Employee Relations Uses consistent practices in managing performance problems with crew. Manages crew in a manner, which maximizes retention. Manages grievance process; communicates process to the crew. Conducts crew performance reviews on a timely basis. Takes appropriate corrective action in response to performance problems. EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS Knowledge: Corner Pantry operating systems and procedures. Corner Pantry policies and procedures. P&L analysis and corrective measures. Supervisory practices Planning and budgeting Interviewing practices. Training and development practices. EDUCATION: College degrees or equivalent experience in operations EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years experience in the C-Store industry.
