About the position

The General Manager at Huntington Beach Inn is responsible for overseeing the efficient and profitable operation of the hotel. This role involves managing hotel staff, optimizing guest experiences, driving revenue, and ensuring adherence to corporate policies. The General Manager will also engage with the local community and maintain a strong presence in the hotel to ensure high standards of service and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and maximize guest and associate experience.
• Drive revenue and maximize profits through effective leadership.
• Manage and motivate associates to achieve financial results and satisfaction.
• Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
• Aggressively pursue revenue goals and manage the annual budget.
• Control operational expenses and implement cost-saving strategies.
• Ensure guest satisfaction meets Fine Hospitality and brand standards.
• Analyze service and quality issues and implement training programs.
• Support the sales team and participate in the hotel's Sales and Marketing Plan.
• Maintain relationships with local organizations and community groups.
• Motivate, coach, and train team members, setting goals and providing feedback.
• Interpret financial results and assist in preparing the Annual Operation Budget.
• Monitor staffing levels and ensure adequate training for all employees.
• Conduct regular meetings with department heads to review performance and set goals.

Requirements

• College or higher level of education.
• 3 years hotel operations experience with a minimum of 2 years at the management level.
• Effective leadership skills and self-motivation.
• Ability to work 50+ hours per week, at a minimum of 5 days per week.
