About the position

The General Manager at Life Time is a high-profile leadership role responsible for the overall direction, coordination, operation, and success of the club. This position focuses on meeting financial goals while providing exceptional leadership in customer service, team member relations, sales, and member participation. The General Manager supports a large team of 150-300 members, ensuring alignment with The Life Time Way expectations and delivering an unforgettable experience to each member.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily walk-through inspections to ensure cleanliness and organization of the club.
  • Analyze Net Satisfaction Scores to enhance member experience.
  • Monitor budgets and forecast revenue and expenses for each department monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Oversee supplies, payroll, cost of goods, and expenses for each department.
  • Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with Department Managers to ensure KPIs are met and exceeded.
  • Mentor Department Managers for continuous growth through training and performance assessment.
  • Provide individual performance evaluations and recognition programs.
  • Authorize new hires, promotions, employee status changes, and terminations.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • 5+ years experience in fitness, retail, or hospitality industries
  • 5+ years experience managing 150+ team members
  • 5+ years experience managing Profit and Loss (P&L) statements/revenue/EBITDA budgets
  • Experience providing high-end customer service and managing customer concerns
  • Track record of success in a performance-driven work environment
  • Excellent interviewing skills
  • CPR and AED Certified
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb and lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Experience managing 10MM+ in top line revenue.
