About the position

The General Manager at VASA Fitness is responsible for overseeing the operations and sales of the fitness club, ensuring a positive and engaging environment for both members and staff. This role requires a proactive leader who can drive results, manage a team, and uphold the company's culture and values. The General Manager will focus on financial performance, team development, and maintaining high standards of service and facility management.

Responsibilities

• Direct operations and sales at the VASA location.
• Build and develop a results-driven team of club leads.
• Manage financial performance and operational goals for the club.
• Hire and develop club team members, particularly lead positions.
• Ensure consistent performance management and uphold company standards.
• Communicate and lead by example to deliver the 'House of VASA' approach.
• Maintain a clean, friendly, and well-maintained club environment.
• Monitor club facilities and ensure adherence to company programs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• CPR Certified within the first 30 days of employment.
• 2-4 years of progressive management experience supervising 1-10 employees.
• 2-4 years of experience in the retail/hospitality/service industry.
• Prior experience in operations management and sales.
• Knowledge of financial planning and P&L statements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the fitness industry preferred.
• Proficiency in sales, marketing, and operations plans.
