About the position

The General Manager at Tropical Smoothie Cafe is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the cafe's operations, ensuring excellent service delivery, maintaining high standards, and achieving financial goals. This role involves leading a team, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily operations of the cafe to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
• Recruit, train, and develop team members to achieve their best performance.
• Ensure exceptional customer experiences and address any concerns promptly.
• Manage budgets, control costs, and work towards achieving sales targets.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food safety regulations.
• Oversee inventory control, ordering, and supplier relationships.
• Quickly resolve operational challenges to keep the cafe running smoothly.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of the team and the cafe, implementing improvements as needed.

Requirements

• ServSafe certification (preferred but not required).
• Mid-level Driver's License.
• Supervising experience in a restaurant setting.
• Budgeting skills and experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Under 1 year of restaurant experience.

Nice-to-haves

• 2 years of restaurant experience, including progressive supervisory roles.
