About the position

The General Manager at Keke's Breakfast Cafe in Wellington is responsible for overseeing the restaurant's operations, ensuring high standards in guest service, food quality, and employee management. This role involves planning, organizing, training, and leading staff to achieve sales and operational objectives while maintaining a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate planning, organizing, training, and leadership to achieve sales and operational objectives.
• Ensure guests receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
• Maintain food quality and cleanliness according to restaurant standards.
• Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, and cleanliness through employee training.
• Control cash and receipts by adhering to cash handling procedures.
• Make employment and termination decisions as necessary.
• Fill in roles as needed to ensure guest service standards are met.
• Develop staff in managerial and professional areas.
• Prepare required paperwork, forms, reports, and schedules in a timely manner.
• Inspect equipment to ensure cleanliness and working condition.
• Ensure correct product counts and conditions upon delivery.
• Administer employee performance appraisals in a timely manner.
• Schedule labor according to business activity and labor cost objectives.
• Administer corrective actions for policy violations promptly and fairly.
• Comply with health, safety, and labor regulations.
• Plan and execute marketing and promotional activities for the restaurant.
• Perform daily adjustments and closing procedures on POS and Back Office Computers.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to communicate in the predominant language(s) of the restaurant's trading area.
• At least three years of experience in front-of-the-house operations or assistant management positions.
• Excellent basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register or POS system.
• Ability to stand for long periods (up to 5 hours).
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week.
• Minimum two years of management experience.
• Minimum two years of experience in full service or fast casual restaurant.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Must conform to Keke's Breakfast Cafe dress code standards.
• Keke's must be your primary place of employment.
