About the position

The General Manager will oversee the daily operations of a corporate-owned restaurant, ensuring efficient management and high levels of customer satisfaction. This role involves executing administrative duties, managing staff, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations while driving profitability and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Create value for shareholders through efficient operations and cost controls.
• Manage a corporate-owned restaurant within company policies, ensuring 100% customer satisfaction.
• Control day-to-day operations by scheduling labor, ordering supplies, and developing the restaurant team.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety policies.
• Manage profit and loss by following cash control procedures, maintaining inventory, and reviewing financial reports.
• Recruit, interview, and hire team members; conduct performance appraisals and take disciplinary action as needed.
• Maintain equipment, facility, and grounds through a preventative maintenance program.
• Ensure food quality and customer satisfaction.
• Execute corporate and local marketing programs timely and completely.
• Facilitate a safe working environment by promoting safe work behaviors among the team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Supervisory experience in food service or retail environment, including Profit & Loss responsibility.
• Basic business math and accounting skills, and strong analytical/decision-making skills.
• Good communication skills and strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Basic personal computer literacy.

Nice-to-haves

• College or university degree preferred but will consider experience.
