About the position

As a General Manager at Ulta Beauty, you will lead a team to ensure operational excellence and superior guest experiences in a dynamic retail environment. Your role will involve driving sales, managing a diverse team, and enhancing the store's reputation as a premier beauty destination. You will be responsible for fostering a culture of teamwork, implementing company programs, and ensuring adherence to policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Championing and modeling the Ulta Beauty mission, vision and values
• Meeting/exceeding sales, profitability and operational goals
• Promoting the Ulta Beauty loyalty and guest service programs
• Forecasting/adjusting payroll and scheduling associates to maximize productivity and workload
• Enhancing the Ulta Beauty brand through 'wow' guest experiences and associate engagement
• Reviewing/interpreting financial and operational reporting, including store visit and audit results
• Identifying underperforming metrics and generating strategic solutions
• Attracting, hiring and retaining a diverse team of top talent
• Training, coaching and developing direct reports
• Modeling a culture of open, honest communication
• Ensuring adherence to all Ulta Beauty policies, procedures and standards
• Protecting company assets and minimizing loss according to store standards
• Supporting continuous improvement by implementing company programs

Requirements

• 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in retail leadership
• Success in interpreting reporting data and managing payroll budgets
• Proven ability to monitor inventory and achieve operational excellence
• Proficiency with MS Office and Apple devices
• Strong collaboration, organizational and prioritization skills
• Adaptability to changing priorities and expectations
• Ability to work a flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to travel for business meetings and conferences
• Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
