About the position

The General Manager at Jimmy John's is responsible for overseeing all restaurant operations, ensuring high-quality customer service and product delivery while maintaining profitability. This role involves managing a team, executing food preparation, and ensuring compliance with operational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all functions of the restaurant to ensure customer service and high-quality products are delivered.
  • Oversee and evaluate work for compliance among staff.
  • Manage hiring, training, evaluating, discipline, and termination of employees.
  • Provide on-the-job training for new employees.
  • Delegate responsibilities for ordering, receipt, storage, and issuing of supplies to minimize loss from waste or theft.
  • Assist in food preparation and service operations during shifts.
  • Forecast food item consumption per shift.
  • Ensure every customer receives world-class customer service.
  • Route deliveries and supervise drivers to maximize delivery efficiency.
  • Complete daily food preparations and execute systems and procedures with integrity.
  • Control inventory using a weekly inventory system and maintain ordering schedules.
  • Conduct weekly manager meetings and audit systems and procedures.
  • Complete preventative maintenance and upkeep on store equipment and supplies.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong math skills including addition, subtraction, fractions, and percentages.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
