About the position

The General Manager at White Cap is responsible for leading and optimizing operational and sales performance within the district, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals. This role involves managing a team of District Operations Managers and District Sales Managers, driving sales initiatives, and maintaining high levels of customer service and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of District Operations Managers (DOMs) and District Sales Managers (DSMs) to meet KPIs and resolve customer issues.
• Implement and manage processes to ensure high sales and operational performance.
• Provide sales and operational leadership aligned with company priorities, developing annual and monthly sales objectives.
• Drive innovative sales and operations initiatives in partnership with senior management.
• Hold DSMs accountable for key sales metrics and provide regular feedback.
• Ensure compliance with safety, productivity, and operational processes.
• Drive HR processes including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Establish a culture of accountability and inclusion within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• 9+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management/supervisory capacity.
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting, P&L responsibility, and cost control measures.
• Proven operational leadership with a track record of managing multi-unit teams.
