About the position

The General Manager at Pure Barre is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the daily operations and long-term strategies of the assigned studio(s). This position is integral to building the Pure Barre brand, driving revenue growth, and leading the studio team to achieve financial goals. The General Manager will also play a key role in staff development and ensuring a high-quality customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth and meet financial goals including revenue, labor cost, and COGS.
  • Maintain an active leadership presence and coach the studio team through the sales process.
  • Implement sales processes to schedule prospects into introductory classes.
  • Generate new leads through grassroots marketing, networking, and social media campaigns.
  • Utilize the POS system (ClubReady) to generate sales reports and track client journeys.
  • Communicate monthly studio revenue goals to staff and update them on progress.
  • Calculate month-end commission totals for the sales team and submit to payroll manager.
  • Oversee the interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, and development of studio sales staff.
  • Schedule and lead monthly and quarterly front desk sales team meetings.
  • Collaborate with Pure Barre GMs and Leadership to share best practices and streamline operations.
  • Ensure all company-wide initiatives are executed in the studio.
  • Analyze class schedules to maximize utilization and attendance.
  • Work with the VP of Operations & Talent to plan product needs and execute orders.
  • Organize and staff on-site events and partnerships to generate leads and sales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Studio or retail management experience is a plus.
  • Superior verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to relate well to people and inspire trust.
  • Resourceful and able to solve problems independently.

  • Experience in fitness or boutique retail management.
