About the position

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all functions of a Papa John's restaurant, ensuring high-quality products and exceptional customer service to drive profitability. This role requires strong leadership, decision-making skills, and the ability to instill pride and accountability in team members while managing operations in compliance with company policies and legal standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all functions of the restaurant to ensure quality products and customer service.
  • Respond professionally and promptly to customer concerns or issues.
  • Solicit and utilize customer feedback to improve operations and build brand loyalty.
  • Train and promote quality standards to team members using available tools.
  • Recruit and maintain adequate staffing levels according to projected sales.
  • Orient and train team members to exceed customer expectations.
  • Establish and communicate performance expectations and conduct performance reviews.
  • Document performance issues and take appropriate disciplinary action.
  • Coach and develop team members to ensure a quality and customer-focused environment.
  • Manage sales goals against budget and prior year by providing excellent customer service.
  • Seek additional sales through creative local marketing and community presence.
  • Manage profit goals against budget and prior year, ensuring costs stay within budget.
  • Develop and implement plans to resolve unfavorable trends and enhance profits.
  • Execute administrative and cash management duties.
  • Plan and manage inventory levels to meet sales demands and minimize loss.
  • Ensure the restaurant is clean, fully equipped, and meets safety and security standards.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Serv-Safe/Local or State Food Service Certification preferred.
  • Two years of restaurant management or supervision experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license under state laws, proof of insurance, and satisfactory vehicle.
