About the position

As a General Manager at Community Choice Financial, you will be responsible for overseeing the success of your store and team, focusing on performance and customer service. Your role includes coaching and training team members, managing marketing efforts, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and fostering a growth-oriented environment. You will report to the District Director of Operations and play a key role in driving revenue and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Coach, lead, and develop all store employees to obtain new business and increase store growth.
  • Identify local marketing strategies and business-to-business partnership opportunities.
  • Enforce adherence to quality standards, procedures, and local and state laws.
  • Supervise and maintain office security including cash management and loss prevention.
  • Examine, evaluate, and process loan/pawn applications and transactions.
  • Participate in the selection, review, hiring, and retention of new employees.
  • Develop work schedules in accordance with budget and store needs.
  • Handle complex customer situations with integrity and professionalism.
  • Monitor and maintain internal and external store appearance and address facilities needs.
  • Work efficiently in a rapidly changing environment and handle multiple tasks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum two years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in retail, financial, service, or related industries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with phone, Point of Sale, Microsoft Office, and other systems.
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and personal vehicle for work use.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age (19 in Alabama).
  • Background check required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate degree or higher.
  • Experience in check cashing, document verification, money order processing.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
