About the position

The General Manager for JAG Welding, Fab & Services will oversee the Pacific Northwest operations, ensuring effective management of day-to-day activities in a fast-paced environment. This role includes full profit and loss responsibilities, customer engagement, business development, and compliance with safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in shipyard management and a strong understanding of NAVSEA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage full PNW operations including P & L responsibility, customer engagement, business development, financial projections, compliance, and safety.
• Direct and coordinate all phases of ship repair.
• Oversee Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foreman, ensuring accountability for safety, quality, cost, and scheduling.
• Ensure training for Project Managers and craft superintendents is conducted effectively.
• Direct workflow in safety, security, environmental compliance, personnel training, production, scheduling, material handling, and quality.
• Implement company policies and strategies to meet operational goals.
• Collaborate with the management team on purchasing, production, inventory, requisition, and invoice approval.
• Communicate effectively with customers, management, and staff.
• Track company equipment and ensure maintenance is up to date.
• Work with HR to ensure training documents and certifications are current and accurately documented.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience in senior level shipyard management.
• Experience in profit and loss management.
• Knowledge of NAVSEA requirements for Navy work execution.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
