About the position

The General Manager will oversee the daily operations of a local restaurant, focusing on coaching and developing management staff, managing bar operations, and maintaining employee records. This role requires a strong emphasis on servant leadership and team building, particularly in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing floor operations at the bar and restaurant.
  • Implementing company policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, directives, and training programs as they relate to floor operations.
  • Tracking and reporting performance on restaurant objectives in sales, profitability, service, quality, appearance of facility, and sanitation/cleanliness.
  • Hiring, scheduling, developing, and coaching staff in all areas of professional development.
  • Creating new programming unique to this location.
  • Overseeing bar operations; monitoring purchasing, scheduling, menu development, etc.
  • Taking initiative to improve efficiency and flow of service.
  • Being open-minded to other ways of being successful, asking for help when needed, and utilizing the Director of Operations for support.

Requirements

  • Prior restaurant management experience required.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Highly organized and skilled at multitasking.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage relationships.
