About the position

The General Manager at Chipotle Mexican Grill is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the operations of a restaurant, ensuring a strong business performance, and fostering a positive team environment. This position plays a crucial role in hiring, training, and developing staff while maintaining high standards of food safety and guest experience. The General Manager is also expected to engage with the community and implement creative marketing strategies to promote the restaurant.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant and ensure compliance with food safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Hire, train, and develop team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Manage financial aspects of the restaurant, including P&L management and sales forecasting.
  • Implement marketing strategies to engage the community and drive sales.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and personal growth.

Requirements

  • Previous restaurant management experience is required.
  • Strong business acumen, including knowledge of P&L management and food safety regulations.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in the primary language(s) of the work location.
  • A friendly and enthusiastic attitude towards guests and team members.
